This tripod kit includes a VEO BH-160S Arca-compatible Ball Head that is capable of holding a maximum weight of 15 kg. Designed to provide users with maximum precision, the included ball head features a spirit bubble, a separate pan-lock, a smooth movement mechanism and a grading system on the base of the head. This allows users to be confident that their photos can be stitched together easily in post-production for stunningly detailed panoramas. This impressive level of control is further reinforced by the design of each feature. Vanguard has enlarged the locking knob for use in all conditions, even wearing gloves. The VEO 3 has 2x 3/8” threads with bayonet fittings for attaching tripod support arms, such as the VEO TSA DLX. These threads are located on the side of the central column and can be used to attach optional accessories. This is perfect for videographers and wildlife photographers wanting to capture all the action with extra lighting, microphones and even secondary cameras. Furthermore, the VEO 3 is also compatible with the optional VEO MT-12 Multi-Mount which can be used for overhead shots or to attach even more accessories to the central column.

What are the angles of the legs?

The VEO 3 263CB has 26mm diameter, 3-section carbon fibre legs that use an innovative push button for setting the legs at 3 different angles (20°, 50° and 80°). Combined with the easy-set twist locks, this allows you to set up the tripod to its maximum height of 1795mm or down to the ground for macro shots.

What is the difference between AB, CB, and APS/CPS models?

AB models are made from aluminium and feature an Arca-compatible ball head. CB models are made from Carbon Fibre and also feature an Arca-compatible ball head. The CB model is a slightly lighter version than the AB models and is better at reducing vibrations. APS/CPS models feature a 3-way pan head.

Is the central column reversible?

Yes. The central column can be reversed to achieve macro/low-angle shots. However, this is not a MACC. For a fully rotational central column, you would need the VEO 3+ model.
