Digital Camera Reinvented

Sigma has created a camera that produces high-quality images, both in still and video modes, with functions applicable to the modern creative. The camera can be used as a webcam for live-streams if e.g. Twitch streamers wish to introduce a better quality video for their audience. It is highly portable, perfect for taking pictures on the go and sharing to social media as well as creating good quality, cinema-like films. It manages to encompass a wide range of uses in its reinvented body. The camera's body adopts the large heat sink found on pro-cinema cameras. It is mounted between the LCD and the camera body for efficient heat dissipation. The user can play with the camera for hours without it overheating. Instead of a mechanical shutter, the camera incorporates an electronic shutter that facilitates a variety of settings, high reliability and silent operation. The shutter experiences no shutter shock even when shooting in quick succession at 18fps.

Stylish, Robust, Portable

The front and back sides of the camera body are covered with die-cast Aluminium-Alloy that makes the camera not only stylish and lightweight but also durable. Thermal conductivity is ensured thanks to this thought-through design that makes the most out of Sigma's flagship heat-sink construction. The camera body is sealed at 42 points to guard against dust and moisture, making it a great tool for use in most environments. Whether it is a sandstorm or light rain, the camera can take it. Additionally, there are 1/4-inch threads for a tripod or a strap holder. This provides users with greater flexibility when it comes to mounting options. Mount the camera on a tripod in portrait mode with fixing removed or attach a strap for portrait mode after the fixing has been screwed into the hole of the base.

Sigma fp Digital Camera - The Key To Creativity

Users benefit from a plethora of colour modes, and a brand new "Teal and Orange" mode. As some might remember, a few years ago Hollywood started to utilise a new colour grading theory known as "Teal and Orange". This is a very handy mode to be found in a digital camera. Conveniently, each colour mode has a slider which can be adjusted to achieve the strength of the effect that the user desires. Other cinematic and photographic features include tone and curve adjustment, fill light, as well as tone and colour buttons for quick access to each mode. Creating stunning, cinematic images in-camera is now easier than ever. Another fantastic invention is the electronic shutter that captures multiple images at different exposures during HDR recording. This includes 3 frames for still photography and 2 frames for video. These differently exposed pictures/videos can be merged for a resulting image with excellent dynamic range. There is also the in-camera Cinemagraph which produces a photo-video hybrid that results in a GIF where a single part of a video keeps moving. The Sigma fp produces videos that can be used in professional filmmaking situations thanks to its cinema-like user interface. Have a go at making your own short film using the Sigma fp. The very handy Director's Viewfinder simulates various angles of view and replicates how the image looks on other cinema cameras. Offering 24.6-megapixel Full-Frame Back-Illuminated sensor it is capable of more than capturing nice images for social media. Supported formats include 12-bit CinemaDNG external recording, with up to 4K UHD/24fps capture, and ALL-I great for editing H.264 compressed videos. Smooth data transition to an external recording unit is ensured by the USB3.1 (GEN1). Other cinematic functions found on pro-cameras include shutter angle display, waveform display, zebra patterning, time code recording and much more.

High-Quality Photographs

Focus peaking and Face/Eye Detection AF are also included in this tiny camera body. Face/Eye Detection AF focuses automatically on the subject's eye even if the user has attached a large-diameter lens with shallow depth of field to the camera. This ensures that the subject stays in focus and looks sharp in images be it for everyday use, memories, or portrait photography. The user can choose which eye the camera should focus on. The AF is available in three distinctive modes including Single AF, Continuous AF, and Manual Focus. Additionally, there are 49 AF points, Free Movement mode, and tracking AF modes. The low light AF ensures images stay sharp in low lighting and the native ISO ranges between 100 and 25600 that can be expanded from 6 to 102400. Other features such as flicker-free shooting and APS-C crop ensure that high-quality imagery is maintained whatever the occasion.
