Expanded Sigma 24mm f3.5 DG DN I C Lens Key Features:
Impressive Image Quality
This wide-angle lens provides edge-to-edge sharpness across all apertures, which means you can rely on the lens to help you capture stunning landscape images or video scenes. It has a close minimum focusing distance of just 10.8cm and a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2. This means that not only can this lens capture beautiful wide-angle shots, it also allows you to explore close-up photography or smaller subjects knowing full well that the image quality will stay intact.
As well as the above, the lens can also produce some attractive bokeh. It'll capture near-circular out-of-focus highlights even at the far edges of your frame. Knowing this, you can use the minimum focusing limit to capture a close-up subject with a blurred background - A classic technique used by many photographers and videographers to create a sense of depth and drama.
Lens Construction
The optical design of this lens is optimised for mirrorless camera systems and is built up from 10 glass elements in 8 groups, and that includes 1 SLD element, 3 high-precision, glass-moulded aspherical elements and a number of high refractive index glass elements. Combined, these elements deliver extremely high performance with versatile portability. In addition to this, Sigma has implemented a smooth and accurate focus drive system that coupled with a fast and near-silent stepping motor. These features allow this lens to be effective for both photography and videography.
