Expanded Sigma 24mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens - Sony E Fit Key Features:
Highest Optical Performance in its Class
Thanks to minimising aberration through the use of the latest technology this lens offers amazing rendering performance, corners included, with ultra-high resolution. The user has the freedom to create a smooth and natural Bokeh effect whilst maintaining higher resolution around the focus point. The Sigma 24mm f1.4 DG HSM Art Lens offers its users high definition rendering without colour aberration as well as natural bokeh effect even from maximum aperture.
Outstanding Correction of Sagittal Coma Flare
This lens features an optimised power layout which positions aspherical lens elements at the rear and adjusts the incidence angle of the light-source. This enables high rendering performance even at the widest aperture making it ideal for astronomical photography, and illuminations due to the reduced blur on the point light sources near the edge of the image.
Outstanding Correction of Chromatic Aberration
By incorporating "F" Low Dispersion (FLD) glass as well as Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements, the lens is able to minimise chromatic aberration of magnification that is mostly visible around the edge of the image. In addition to this correction of axial chromatic aberration is a possibility thanks to the aforementioned power layout. This lens achieves high image quality as well as sharp and high contrast image rendering without any colour blur.
Minimised Distortion
The adjusted incident angle of the light source from the surface of the first lens as well as the optimised positioning of each aspherical glass element to power layout at respective positions minimise distortion throughout the entire image.
High Peripheral Brightness
Minimising vignetting along with the improved efficiency at large apertures secures fantastic brightness and high contrast visible in the images produced by the Sigma 24mm f1.4 DG HSM. This includes indoor photography, astronomical photography as well as blue sky photography.
Corresponding AF Mounts
Compatible with SIGMA, Nikon, Canon, and Sony E-Mount. If the user wishes to use this lens with film SLR cameras they should note that this lens is only compatible with the Nikon F6 and Canon EOS-1v. It will not work with other film SLR cameras. Please note that Nikon mounts do not have an aperture ring therefore some functions may not work depending on the camera model. The angle of view can vary depending on which camera the lens is mounted on.
