The long range Sigma ultra telephoto 150-500mm is just the ticket for capturing nature, sports and subjects at a distance. Sigma uses the smart Optical Stabilisation to offer an equivalent of using a shutter speed approximately 4 stops faster. This means that you can use the super zoom hand-held without getting blurred images caused by camera shake. This lens also incorporates the super quiet Hyper Sonic Motor for high-speed autofocus, and as this is working internally, so the manual-focusing ring remains motionless. Compatible with Sigma APO Tele Converters, this lens effectively becomes a 210-700mm F7-8.8 or a 300-1000mm F10-12.6 ultra-telephoto zoom. A removable tripod collar is included as standard. Incorporated with SLD Glass
Three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements provide excellent correction for chromatic aberration. This lens is equipped with the rear focus system that minimises fluctuation of aberrations caused by focusing. It provides optimum image quality throughout the entire zoom range. DG
Sigma's DG lenses are designed for cameras with a full-frame sensor, but cameras with a cropped sensor can also take these lenses. These are large-aperture lenses with wide angles and short minimum focusing distances.
