The Sennheiser MKE 400 Microphone is a highly directional shotgun microphone that features an enhanced super-cardioid polar pattern that will capture clear, crisp and high-quality audio recordings with next-to-no unwanted background noise. It's fitted with built-in wind protection and an internal suspension mount which together reduces wind and handling sounds. To combat poor acoustics, the MKE also features a built-in low-cut filter and 3-step sensitivity switch that provide both flexibility and control in different audio environments. Thanks to interchangeable 3.5 mm TRS and TRRS connectivity, this MKE 400 Mobile kit is designed for use with both DSLR/Mirrorless digital cameras and mobile devices. The Mobile Kit

This Sennheiser MKE 400 mobile kit features two extra accessories which add more versatility and flexibility, making it easier to utilise your smartphone if your main camera is not available. First of all, there's the Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod that is a rugged and lightweight mini tripod. Its equipped with a ball-joint head and push-button locking mechanism which makes it easy to easily change and adjust your smartphone to the right position. It has rubber feet that provide grip on most surfaces and collapsible legs which convert this tripod into a handheld vlogging tool. It has a maximum weight load of 1kg and a universal ¼" screw thread which is suitable for a wide range of devices.

The kit also comes with the Sennheiser Smartphone Clamp that will screw directly onto the Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod's ¼" thread. The clamp is made from solid aluminium and features soft rubber grips that will securely grip onto more smartphones. It has a 180° locking dial which allows for easy landscape-portrait transitions. The clamp has 4 ¼ screw threads and a further 3/8 mounting options that will cover a range of tripods, and an integrated cold shoe mount allows you to attach your smartphone to your camera hot shoe.

Whether youre a beginner or a professional, you will at some point be faced with poor acoustic locations - Those locations that feature multiple surfaces/materials which can dramatically affect audio quality as the audio bounces around or is dampened etc. The MKE 400 sets out to try and combat this with a low-cut filter and a 3-step gain sensitivity switch. You're able to use the low-cut filter to eliminate low-frequency rumbles or wind noise that can plague your recordings. Equally, you can use the 3-step gain sensitivity switch to adjust your sensitivity to overcome almost any recording environment. To further help against these nuisance-audio-issues, the MKE 400 is also equipped with wind protection that reduces buffeting and an internal suspension mount that effectively minimises handling noise.

Lights, Camera, Action!

You're all set to go, but you would ideally check your audio levels and monitor your sound before you hit record but your camera doesn't have a headphone jack. The MK400 has you covered. The MK400 has a headphone monitoring output that allows you to plug in any 3.5mm headphones directly into your microphone, and you can use the integrated volume control to adjust your recordings.
