The Samyang 85mm T1.5 VDSLR II Lens has been designed to cater to the needs of both enthusiasts and pro-users alike. Optimised for full-frame coverage video on DSLR and mirrorless cameras and an intelligent lens structure, this lens will capture stunning sharp film that's rich with colour and clarity. The aperture system features 9-blades and a maximum aperture of T1.5 which together not only allow you to film in adverse lighting conditions, but also will help you separate you subject from the background with beautiful smooth and circular bokeh. Seen in the entire VDSLR MK2, the Samyang 85mm T1.5 features unified gear position which allows for seamless lens changes without affecting follow focus or rig systems. The lens is compact and lightweight which in turn enables sturdy handheld shooting for those who aren't using a gimbal system. Finally, the lens is also weather-sealed from light rain, snow and dust, allowing confident shooting when the weather turns.
Samyang designed all the VDSLR MK2 lenses with a wide and fast T1.5 aperture. In doing so, these lenses allow you to shoot in adverse lighting conditions where other lenses would fail to do so. The aperture features 9-blades which allows you to effectively capture smooth, attractive and circular bokeh in your video work. The way the aperture system has been created means that you can confidently record your films and know that the quality will have a professional look and feel which often is only achievable with pro-cine lenses on the market.
Designed for use for both enthusiasts and professional videographers, this lens produces stunningly sharp image quality that has beautiful colour reproduction. The compact and lightweight nature of this lens means that it's ideal for handheld shooting. The lightweight construction allows this lens to also be utilised with gimbals, drones and car mounts, giving you a range of filming options. Like all the lenses in the VDSLR MK2 lineup, there are unified focus and aperture gear ring positions. This is particularly useful as it enables you to change lenses on your camera without the need to adjust follow focus or rig systems, allowing you to maintain an efficient working practice.
Another feature of the entire VDSLR MK2 range is effective and reliable weather-sealing. The Samyang 85mm T1.5 VDSLR II Lens is sealed at all vulnerable points between the lens and camera mount and is protected from light rain, snow and dust, allowing you to confidently film in unfavourable weather conditions.
