Whilst other LED lighting panels on the market offer just continuous light, the AEOS II also offers the World’s first high-speed sync RGB flash system. With these two features in your arsenal, you’ll have more power than ever before and the ability to freeze the action as it happens. What makes this all the more impressive is its colour array.

The AEOS II offers exceptional colour accuracy and along with its “shoot what you see continuous light”, it has a wide colour temperature range from 3000-10000 Kelvin, allowing for high-speed flashes of any one of 16.7 million colours. There’s a coloured filter library that consists of 2,500 of your favourite filters from LEE and Rosco. And, this is all usable with the AEOS II’s zero-recycle time which means you have endless creative possibilities at your disposal. Oh, there’s more - You also have access to Rotolight’s award-winning suite of CineSFX including Fire, Lightning, TV, Gunshot, Paparazzi and more that can transform your scene at a moments notice.

Diffusion

If it wasn’t enough to have the super-flexible colour and brightness control that the AEOS II exhibits, you can now make use of the included quick-release diffusion dome. This included accessory allows you to effortlessly switch from hard to softer, more natural light using this intelligent softbox. Enhancing professional and creative light control, this attachment can electronically adjust your light's diffusion, focus and spread all without the need for gels. This can be controlled via the touchscreen display or Rotolight’s companion app.

App Control

Adding to the versatility and ease of use of the AEOS II is Rotolight’s companion app. This app allows you to wirelessly control the output, colour, intensity, flash power and more of the light. You can create customer groups and projects on up to 20 lights, all at once, right from the palm of your hand. It’s a true efficiency tool that allows you to focus on orchestrating your scene rather than dealing with confusing controls. But alas, in the absence of the app, the Rotolight AEOS II has another trick up its sleeve...

Functionality

There are several aspects of the AEOS II that highlight its functionality, usability and efficiency. First up is the menu system. Past Rotolight devices have had intuitive menus but this model steps it up a notch, taking inspiration from the likes of Rotolight’s Titan professional lights with a highly efficient, industry-first full-colour touchscreen. This intuitive menu system is designed for effortless operation, allowing to adjust and change settings with ease.

The build of the unit and its battery performance also aid its impressive functionality. The unit is incredibly lightweight, ultra-thin and with its aluminium side handles, it’s easy to move around your set and transport to different locations. When it comes to battery life, the AEOS II sees much better performance than its predecessor. It yields a superior output but at only 1/3rd the power draw of its closest rivals and as a result, offers 100,000 full-power flashes on a single battery.

Can the AEOS II be remotely controlled?

You can utilise Rotolight’s all-new companion app that offers complete control from colour adjustment, power, flash settings and much more. This is available for both iOS and Android devices.

How can I trigger the flash?

The AEOS II features an integrated Elinchrom Skyport Wireless Flash Receiver and as such, is optimised for Elinchrom Skyport transmitters. However, the unit will work with any HSS trigger/receiver combo with either a PC sync port or 3.5 mm flash sync port on the receiver.
