This premium LUMIX lens features an advanced optical structure that is made up of 12 high-quality glass elements, arranged into 11 lens groups. Within these 12 elements, Panasonic has included 3 aspherical lenses, 3 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses and 1 UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lens. The use of the aspherical lenses results in high descriptive performance and beautiful bokeh, and when combined with the additional chromatic suppression (from both the ED and UED lenses) the end result is exceptional.

Aside from the obvious optical performance achieved with the advanced lens structure, the lens is equipped with a mechanism that significantly suppresses focus breathing. The lens featuring an effective and reliable AF system that offers smooth, fast and silent focus performance with a maximum sensor drive of 240fps. This lens features a non-linear setting that allows you to shift your focus with variable amounts according to the rotation speed of the focus ring.
