Powerful Micro Four Thirds Flagship
As the latest flagship in the Lumix G Series, the Lumix GH7 promises impressive performance with high-quality upgrades over its predecessor, the Lumix GH6. Introducing a new 25.2MP BSI CMOS sensor ensures fast response times and high-resolution results, which is excellent for professional photographers or filmmakers. The sensor enables a 13+ stop dynamic range boost, providing rich colour gradation for stunning images in any lighting conditions. With Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), you can shoot fast-moving subjects with increased accuracy. The addition of real-time auto-focus recognition AF for aeroplanes and trains provides faster identification of a broader range of subjects. For further precision, Pinpoint AF mode lets you precisely target an area of your subject for focus.
The Lumix GH7 excels at shooting hand-held or while moving to capture the action, especially for achieving smooth video, thanks to enhanced image stabilisation technology. Perspective distortion correction and High Mode in Active I.S. offer robust compensation for any unwanted movement when filming. Powerful 7.5-stop 5-axis B.I.S (Body Image Stabilisation) and 7.5-stop Dual I.S. 2 compensate for camera shake when capturing photos, preventing blur and maintaining optimal image quality.
Designed for Professional-Quality Video
The Lumix GH series is renowned among creators and video production spaces, and the GH7 improves upon previous generations with powerful video specs. With newly equipped internal recording of 5.7K 30p ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes RAW HQ and 5.7K 60p ProRes/B RAW recording via HDMI, the GH7 ensures high-quality video recording that promises outstanding clarity. With 13+ stops full V-Log in the V Gamut colour space, it retains all colour information in the image for true-to-life colour reproduction when grading in post. It supports high-resolution 4:2:0 10-bit 4K120p and 4:2:2 10-bit FHD240p HFR slow-motion recording and 10-bit FHD up to 300fps VFR (Variable Frame Rate) recording, offering a range of high-definition, dynamic options to capture your subject.
To help you through long days on set, the Lumix GH7 supports unlimited recording. Thanks to improved heat management through heat dissipation and the integration of a cooling fan, there’s less threat of your camera overheating, and you can record for longer.
Get Creative with Real Time LUT
With access to improved Real Time LUT on the Lumix GH7, you can create expressive photos and videos straight out of your camera. Real Time LUT lets users load original LUT files and apply creative colour looks to images and videos, allowing you to express your style and reduce time spent editing your work, with no additional software or a computer required to apply them. Creating unique filters is done by layering Photo Style and LUT, and you can extend parameter settings for improved creative control. To inspire your creativity, shoot with your favourite creators’ LUTS by downloading them and bringing them to your camera. Then, enjoy near-instant sharing and editing of your creations by transferring photos and videos to your smartphone using the Lumix Lab app.
Streamline Your Post-Production Workflow
The Lumix GH7 has a range of features that support an efficient workflow, streamlining the editing process for photographers and videographers with a busy schedule. With 5.8K 30p Open Gate recording, you can enjoy flexible framing and get every aspect ratio with one shot, a handy feature for later posting to a range of social media platforms or to suit the needs of any project. It also enables proxy recording and supports native Camera to Cloud integration with Adobe’s frame.io, so you can automatically upload, back up, share or collaborate on images and videos using the cloud.
The Lumix GH7 also offers the world’s first 32-bit float recording, eliminating the need to adjust audio recording levels during shooting when using Panasonic’s separately available XLR microphone adapter DMW-XLR2E. With the adaptor, you can access 48kHz or 96kHz 32-bit 2-channel audio recording. You only need to edit a single video file with high-quality 32-bit float audio rather than video and audio separately, saving you time in post-production.
Durable Design for Shooting Anywhere
Panasonic’s Lumix GH7 has a durable build and a user-friendly design that performs well even in challenging shooting scenarios. It is equipped with a tilt-free angle 3-inch touchscreen monitor that lets you enjoy a range of shooting angles while maintaining a good view of the screen. When tilted, the monitor will not interfere with any HDMI or USB cables attached to the camera for hassle-free operation. The Lumix GH7 is also dust- and splash-resistant and freeze-resistant down to -10 degrees Celsius, ensuring your shoot can continue in a wide range of weather conditions. With such reliable durability and versatility, it is an excellent tool for production environments, whether capturing an indoor or outdoor scene.

FAQs:
How does the Panasonic Lumix GH7 differ from the GH6?
The Panasonic Lumix GH7 builds upon its predecessor, the GH6, to offer improved results for photography and video. The GH7 introduces a new 25.2MP BSI CMOS sensor, improved AF performance with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), enhanced stabilisation technology with perspective distortion correction for videos and High mode in Active I.S., and Apple ProRes RAW internal recording. Improvements to video include higher-resolution 5.7K 30p ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes RAW HQ internal recording, 5.8K 30p Open Gate recording, and 5.7K 60p ProRes/B RAW recording via HDMI, compared to the GH6’s Cinema 4K 120p/100p or 4K 120p/100p output over HDMI. When an XLR adaptor is attached, the GH7 is capable of 32-bit float audio recording, a world first, while the built-in microphone matches the 2-channel 48kHz 24-bit quality of the GH6.
What memory cards is the Panasonic Lumix GH7 compatible with?
The Panasonic Lumix GH7 has two memory card slots and is compatible with CFexpress Type B cards and SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. However, it is only compatible with UHS-I/UHS-II UHS Speed Class 3 standard SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards and UHS-II Video Speed Class 90 standard SDXC Memory Cards.
Is the Panasonic Lumix GH7 waterproof?
The Panasonic Lumix GH7 is splash- and dust-resistant and freeze-resistant down to -10 degrees Celsius/14 degrees Fahrenheit for enhanced durability, but it is not waterproof. While it can withstand minor interactions with dust and water, it is not guaranteed to prevent damage when exposed to it in large amounts.
What inputs/output options are available on the Panasonic Lumix GH7?
The Lumix GH7 has practical connectivity options that ensure you can achieve a production-quality setup for impressive results. The input/outputs included are an HDMI Type A, a 2.5mm remote input, a 3.5mm jack for external microphones/audio equipment and headphones, and two slots for memory cards.
