Expanded Panasonic Lumix G9 II Digital Camera Body Key Features:
Outstanding Image Quality
The Panasonic Lumix G9 II Digital Camera Body is a high-speed, high-resolution Micro Four Thirds camera ideal for creators who enjoy zoom or action photography. The new, powerful 25.2-megapixel sensor and latest engine make the G9 II faster with higher resolution and bit rates than the previous generation. With 13+ stops of dynamic range and an ISO of 100-25600, you can capture every moment in stunning, colour-rich detail. The new engine also makes it possible to process high-resolution 100MP JPEG files on the camera.
An improved 8.0 stop B.I.S delivers incredibly sharp images whether operating your camera handheld or at slow shutter speeds. This image stabilisation is maintained even in the telephoto range by 7.5-stop axis dual I.S. 2 when Body I.S. has reduced. With the new Active I.S. and improved E.I.S., you can capture smooth images and video even when walking or running and easily correct perspective distortion.
Fast Auto Focus and Shooting Speeds
As the first in the Lumix G series with Phase Hybrid AF, the Panasonic Lumix G9 II boasts exceptionally fast and accurate auto-focusing, so you never miss a moment. Phase detection AF, 779 AF points, and contrast AF with DFD (Depth From Defocus) improve subject tracking for quick identification. The new AI-powered Animal AF and Car/Motorcycle recognition identify humans and animals separately and vehicles correctly to select your desired subject. Advanced human recognition improves the accuracy of body recognition, especially in group shots, and you can now choose focusing areas down to a point to achieve your desired composition.
The G9 II also features burst shooting with AFC (Auto Focus Continuous) at 60fps. The improved buffer memory enables approximately three seconds of continuous burst shooting, during which the monitor remains free of blackouts. Thanks to SH pre-burst shooting, taking your eyes off the action is not a problem, as you can go back in time by 0.5-, 1-, or 1.5- seconds to capture your shot.
Professional Quality Video
To ensure this versatile camera offers video as outstanding as its stills, the G9 II supports 5.7K 60P and 4K/C4K 120P recording in 10-bit. Access to flexible framing options allows creators to record high-resolution videos suitable for any social media platform. Recording options include high-quality slow and fast motion supported by Video Assist Functions such as Red REC Frame Indicator, AWB Lock, and Frame Markers. Your footage will maintain a beautiful depth of colour thanks to V-Log/V-Gamut, which lets videographers make the most of the sensor’s impressive dynamic range. And, with support for Apple ProRes, the G9 II meets professional industry standards for a more streamlined workflow and maximum efficiency.
Stunning Creative Effects
The G9 II has many options for altering images with creative effects. You can colour-grade LUT files with the Real-Time LUT feature, reducing the need for post-processing. Users can also apply HDR Composition in real time using two types of images with a single exposure or create high-quality night sky images. Nineteen photo styles allow users to access creative looks, including the new high-contrast Leica Monochrome, on Lumix for the first time. Shooting options such as Hand-held 100-megapixel High-Resolution mode and Live View Composite mode further encourage your artistic vision.
Incredible Mobility and Intuitive Handling
With an improved design, the compact and lightweight Panasonic Lumix G9 II has excellent mobility and ergonomic handling. The durable splash, dust, and freeze-resistant build is perfect for outdoors, enabling versatile use in any weather. The buttons have the same functions as the G9 but now include an upgraded joystick that moves in eight directions rather than four and a relocated eye sensor to avoid accidental triggers. A 3680k-dot OLED LVF and 1840k-dot free-angle LCD monitor provide clear and flexible viewing options.
