Olympus E-520 – Sequential shooting & great flash
The Olympus E520 shoots at 3.5fps with up to 8 images in the RAW buffer, ensuring you leave no moment forgotten. The fast processing speeds and low noise performance as a result of the TruePic III image processor, mean that high-speed action is the name of the game. The broad ISO sensitivity ranging from 100-1600 adds versatility and the bracketing function enables you to take a series of shots with varying adjustments to exposure, focus or white balance, ensuring the shot you want is achieved.

Olympus E-520 – Complexity made simple
Based on the Four Thirds System, the Olympus E-520 contains a wide range of extraordinary features, yet the camera is simple to use and housed in an ergonomic, aesthetically pleasing body. The Olympus E-520 gives you a more enriched photo-taking experience, its enhanced Live View providing increased user-friendliness. Not only can you preview depth of field settings, control exposure compensation and white-balance on screen and see the effects of Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment Technology in real time on the 2.7” HyperCrystal II LCD, the Olympus E-520 enables you to see autofocus changes directly on the display. This is made possible by implementing a contrast AF system* in addition to the customary phase difference detection AF system, meaning that the mirror needn’t move to the down position for AF measurements to be made and previewed in Live View.

The LCD on the Olympus E-520 offers a 176° viewing angle as well as a 100% field of view. Especially useful for macro photographers, the Olympus E-520 is perfect for those who wish to focus visually, as sections of the subject can be enlarged by a factor of 7 or 10 to aid manual focus adjustments.

The Olympus E-520 digital SLR offers 32 shooting modes, making choosing the right settings easy – from photographing a candlelit dinner or a coral reef. The camera also features a long-life rechargeable battery for extended shooting and has both Compact Flash and xD-Picture Card slots for fantastic storage flexibility. Olympus E-520 – The complete system
Part of the Olympus E-System, the Olympus E-520 is compatible with almost all system accessories, which incorporates a number of flash units including the wireless FL-36R and FL-50R for using the remote flash capabilities of the digital SLR camera. The E-System also includes over 20 Zuiko Digital lenses which all feature near telecentric construction and cover a focal length range of 14-600mm (35mm equivalents). Lenses from other manufacturers which adhere to the Four Thirds standard can also be used with the Olympus E-520.
