Expanded Nikon Z7 Key Features:

Introducing the Z mount

Nikon haven't rested on their laurels with their new range of mirrorless compact system cameras. In deciding not to include their DSLR F mount, Nikon have created a new Z mount for their CSCs. That's not to say they've done away with everything that Nikon users are used to - there's a certain familiarity when handling the Z7, ensuring users still know who makes the camera just by holding it.

The Nikon Z7 is the ideal hybrid camera

Capable of both high-quality stills and video, the Nikon Z7 truly is an all-round camera. The improved AF system is perfect for both disciplines, while continuous shooting at speeds of up to 9fps ensures it can handle pretty much anything a photographer can throw at it. Video users have a wealth of features to sink their teeth into as well, with 4K30p, 120fps slow motion in Full HD, and even the option to record a 10-bit 4:2:2 signal externally via HDMI. Nikon have also included their proprietary N-Log gamma profiles preinstalled, providing even greater freedom in post-production.

In-body image stabilisation and Unparalleled Usability

In partnering the Nikon Z7 with a Vibration Reduction lens, users can benefit from up to 5-stops of image stabilisation, thanks to the camera's 5-axis in-body image stabilisation. Even without a VR compatible lens, the camera alone offers up to 3-stops. Ergonomically designed for peak comfort and usability, the camera's buttons, dials, and functions have been deliberately positioned for ease of use over extended periods of time. An LCD is also present on the top of the camera body, allowing users to check their camera settings at a glance.

Back-illuminated sensor and EXPEED 6 image processor

Nikon have improved the low light performance of the camera by including a back-illuminated 45.7MP full-frame CMOS sensor. Back-illumination of a sensor increases the amount of light that the camera can capture, in turn increasing low light capabilities. The Z7 and Z6 mark the debut of Nikon's new EXPEED 6 image processor. Designed specifically for this new range of CSCs, the processor is geared to handle anything and everything that users can throw at it.

Monitor your work in amazing detail

A stunning 3690K dot electronic viewfinder captures approximately 100% of the image frame, ensuring users get the best representation of their image when using the EVF. More accurate focusing can also be achieved thanks to the superb level of detail on display.
