Although the NDH 30 is similar in build to the NDH 20, the open-back headphone design allows the dynamic 38 mm transducers to work as acoustic dipoles. This allows their highly refined sound characteristics to unfold with an extremely fast transient response, dry bass, uncoloured mids and transparent highs. By removing room for distortion and colouration, the NDH 30 reproduces the signal 1:1, so you can hear the sound as intended.
