The Laowa 25mm F2.8 2.5-5X Ultra-Macro Lens has been specifically developed for an enhanced macro photography experience. The lens features an adjustable magnification range from 2.5:1 to 5:1. With this range, you can easily capture and produce images that are larger-than-life. When used in the 2.5:1 position, you’ll have a minimum focusing distance of 23cm, and a working distance of 4.5cm. When shooting using the larger 5:1 magnification, the lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 17ch and a working distance of just 4cm. This focusing and working distance will provide you with ample room for illuminating your subject.

Great For Focus Stacking

The wide 25mm focal length of this lens offers an added feature of deeper control of depth of field, which wouldn’t be possible with longer focal length macro lenses. The result of this is that focus stacking (a common macro photography method) is much easier and allows you to create even more detailed images. It should be noted that the focus ring should be used to set magnification but for actual focus stacking, it is best to use a focus rail.

Can this lens be used on a crop sensor?

Yes, you can use this on APS-C models and it’ll provide a 40mm equivalent focal length (Canon, Nikon and Sony options). However, it is primarily designed for use on full-frame cameras.

Is there a macro flash that can be attached?
