Suited to creative content creators, video hobbyists and vloggers, the JOBY FreeHold Universal Kit opens the door to a whole new range of camera angles. Consisting of the FreeHold Phone Grip, Flexible Arm Set, and Tripod Adapter, this JOBY accessory kit allows you to mount your phone to the included flexible arm or GorillaPod (sold separately). This specific kit is best for phones with a smooth plastic exterior or case, and will not adhere to glass-backed devices such as the iPhone 11 series. To mount to an additional GorillaPod or tripod system, be sure to utilise the 1/4”-20 Tripod Adapter. This encourages more creative camera angles when recording video footage, whilst also giving you the freedom to quickly and efficiently capture content without the constant need for a bulky tripod system. Is it compatible with all GorillaPod systems?

The entire range of GorillaPods utilise the same adapter mount. This means that the JOBY FreeHold Universal Kit is compatible with all available JOBY GorillaPod systems.

Is this JOBY accessory compatible with all smart phones?

The JOBY Freehold Universal Kit is compatible with a massive range of phones. It attaches to your mobile device via the FreeHold Phone Grip, which consists of a strong adhesive similar to those found on common GoPro mounts. As this is an adhesive, it is best to wipe clean the area you wish to mount your Phone Grip to before applying it. In addition, the FreeHold Phone Grip works best on plastic-backed phones and cases, but may struggle with silicone, leather, and other soft materials.

Is the FreeHold Universal Kit compatible with glass-backed phones?

The JOBY FreeHold Universal Kit is not compatible with glass-backed phones such as the iPhone 11 series. However, there are specific FreeHold kits for both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro that can be found on the WEX site.

Can this be mounted to the handlebars of a bicycle?

As previously mentioned, the JOBY FreeHold Universal Kit is not suited to shooting situations with severe vibrations. This includes mounting to the handlebars of a bicycle, helmet, car, or anything else that may cause the Flexible Arm Set to loosen.

What is the working temperature range of this product?

This JOBY accessory kit has a working temperature range from -10 °C to 40 °C.
