X-Trans CMOS 4 Sensor and X Processor 4:
A back-illuminated APS-C sensor with more than 4x more phase-detection pixels than current X-series models. The low-light autofocus limit has also been enhanced to -3EV, ensuring precise autofocus performance, even in low light conditions. The new X-Processor 4 has 4 CPU units that increase the processing speed by up to 3x in comparison to other X-series models. This manifests in improved autofocus accuracy and speed.
Dramatically improved auto focus and tracking performance:
Autofocus has been improved by approximately 1.5x thanks to the increased processing speed. This includes enhanced performance in face and eye detection AF as a result of the 2.16 million phase detection pixels across the entire frame. In regard to tracking, You'll achieve blackout-free continuous shooting up to 30 frames per second when using Live View on a the 60fps screen
Higher image quality and pro-level video performance:
At 26.1MP, the XT-3 offers the highest resolution in an APS-C size sensor. Despite the increase in pixels, noise level is also kept to a minimum. When it comes to video, 4K60p 4:2:0 10-bit internal recording is supported, however that is increased to 4K60P 4:2:2 10-bit when recording externally via HDMI. H.264/MPEG-4 AVC and H.265/HEVC codecs are on offer, enabling a bitrate of 200Mbps. In terms of video compression, ALL-Intra and Long GOP formats are available, recording up to 400Mbps. Fujifilm's ETERNA film simulation mode is also included.
