Exceptional Image Quality

Thanks to the 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor which features no low-pass filter and the X-Processor Pro high-speed image processing engine users can benefit from gorgeous colour reproduction as well as the gradation of tones, with low noise and high ISO sensitivity. The FUJINON lenses can be utilised to their full capabilities as the low-pass filter has been eliminated. In addition to this, the combination of the sensor and image processor allows for the X-T2 to deliver image quality that is on par with larger sensor cameras with a higher pixel count.

Elevated ISO Sensitivity

This camera features ISO sensitivity of 12800, and despite having a pixel count of 1.5x (present in the X-T1), it has improved upon digital noise control. This is also possible thanks to the enhanced signal processing technology. The camera produces low noise images even when using ultra-high ISO, and is capable of reproducing deep blacks and smooth gradation of tones even when working in low lit scenarios.

4K Video Capture

The user can enjoy finest image quality and low moire thanks to the camera incorporating 1.8 times the amount of information needed to produce 4K video (3840x2160), or 2.4 times required for full HD video (1920x1080). High video bitrate capture of 100Mbps for both 4K and Full HD video is supported and gives users access to high-resolution footage. In addition to this clean HDMI output for 4K video recording is also facilitated. The camera includes “F-log” log-gamma option that takes advantage of the sensor’s wide dynamic range to capture video with wide colour gamut.

Superior Auto-Focus Performance

91 focusing points (up to 325 points) have been incorporated into this compact camera. It means that 40% of the imaging area is covered with phase-detection AF pixels. This, in turn, helps with the formation of the fast and precise phase-detection AF area. When using Live View mode the camera is able to refocus more frequently thanks to the high-speed processing power and the improved algorithm. This permits accurate predictive auto-focusing that is obtained even in low lit conditions of -3EV. High accuracy is also available for focus-tracking fast-moving subjects. The user is free to choose between “Tracking Sensitivity”, “Speed Tracking Sensitivity”, and “Zone Area Switching” depending on their needs.

Electronic Viewfinder

The X-T2 offers a 2.36-million-dot high-resolution organic EL electronic viewfinder with a lag of just 0.005 seconds. This is on account of the 0.77x magnification ratio. With the Automatic Brightness adjustment function as well as boasting double the maximum brightness from the previous models, users can benefit from excellent visibility even in intense backlighting.
