Stunning Image Quality

Equipped with a Hasselblad L2D-20c camera and 4/3 CMOS imaging sensor, the Mavic 3 Classic is capable of exceptional image quality and overall optical performance. The larger imaging sensor provides the drone with a 20MP resolution and 12.8-stop dynamic range that retains more detail in highlights and shadows, leading to higher-quality imagery. The Mavic 3 Classic can also more effectively suppress unwanted noise in low-light shooting conditions.

The drone’s adjustable aperture allows more control of how your images and films look, allowing you to adjust settings in a wide variety of lighting scenarios. The 24mm equivalent autofocus lens has an 84° field of view that captures even more in your frame - ideal for shooting vast landscapes. DJI has also included advanced Vision Detection Auto Focus (VDAF) technology that is designed to interpret distance data and optimise focusing speed by using multiple vision sensors. This makes for more precise and professional output, be it video or stills.

Colour Accuracy

DJI’s Mavic 3 Classic features highly optimised colour science that will ensure the highest level of colour accuracy and image quality. Hasselblad’s Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) is the result of decades of experience producing exceptional imaging technology, with the technology capturing and reproducing highly vivid and accurate colours that require no presents or post-production.

The Hasselblad sensor calibrates every pixel to the same level as a flagship Hasselblad camera, which records true-to-life colours. Whilst filming or photographing, RGB colour data is obtained by the sensor and passed through Hasselblad's unique image processing algorithm and colour processing system to deliver as natural colours as possible.

Video Optimisation

The Mavic 3 Classic’s video capabilities have been optimised to record at higher resolutions and frame rates. The drone shoots up to 5.1K/50fps and 4K/120fps, and supports H.264/H.265 encoding. It can also capture up to one billion colours thanks to its 10-bit D-Log colour profile that offers natural colour reproduction and gradations - allowing greater flexibility in post-production.

Safer Flying

The Mavic 3 Classic features two advanced mechanisms that are designed for safer flights. One is its Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing, which uses multiple wide-angle vision sensors to precisely sense obstacles in all directions and plan safe flight routes to avoid them. This and its APAS 5.0 technology work together to ensure a safer flight that is more enjoyable too, allowing the drone to sense objects and then smoothly and quickly avoid them. This allows you to spend less time on obstacles and more time focussing on capturing the perfect shot from up in the sky.

What is the difference between the Mavic 3 Classic and the other versions?

The Mavic 3 Classic has a single 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera, whilst the Mavic 3 has an additional 162mm tele camera and supports gimbal lock. The Mavic 3 Cine has all the previous features and also supports different Apple ProRes codecs and has 1TB SSD built-in storage.

Is an app required to use the Mavic 3 Classic?

Does the drone have any internal storage?
