The Canon XF605 also affords an expansive dynamic range in Canon Log 3 to ensure a more cohesive post-production process. Or for when time constraints are more prevalent, shoot directly in broadcast-ready PQ or HLG HDR formats. You can even record simultaneously to dual SD cards in a range of varying formats to maximise versatility and guarantee a smooth production process from start to finish.

Enhanced Optics and AF Control

The high-powered integrated L-Series lens offers 4K visual recording, as well as a functional 15x optical zoom. You are provided a highly tactile recording process, with independent rings for Zoom, Focus, and Iris control. The lens also features three image stabilisation modes to include Dynamic, Standard, and Powered, whilst the in-built ND and infrared filters offer advanced control and clarity.

As a versatile camcorder, the XF605 utilises pin-sharp Eye tracking AF, which is great for on-location and field recording. New to the XF Series, this camera system further employs intelligent head tracking via EOS iTR AF X. Defined as an innovative ‘deep learning’ technology, it allows the focus to track a subjects’ head, even when they have turned away from the camera. This is particularly impressive for shooting pieces to camera, journalistic-style filmmaking, dynamic documentary shooting, and news casting.
