USED Canon MR-14EX II Macrolite

Bringing brilliance to your subjects, Canon's MR-14EX II Macro Ring Lite enhances the capabilities and features of the much-lauded previous model, providing the macro photographer with a powerful tool for properly illuminating subject matter and creating the perfect image. This improved model of the Ring Lite utilises more powerful, high-output LED modelling lamps.

In addition, recycle time has been reduced to 5.5 seconds and it has been engineered to be quieter in operation, so as not to disturb any creatures who may be modelling for you. The dual flash tubes are independently variable over 6 stops, enabling you to control and modify frontal lighting in much the same way as a portrait photographer would tune the output of a pair of lighting heads.

And as a final flourish, Canon have modified and upgraded the control system to enable operation of flash functions both via the Ring Lite's controls and through your camera, increasing the overall ease-of-use. The MR-14EX II requires adapters to fit to your macro lens, which are not supplied

Dual flash tubes can be varied independently, over a 6-stop ratio, permitting different lighting styles. Use both tubes evenly for a shadowless effect, or make one tube brighter than the other for relief lighting that emphasises textures. The Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II's flash head can be rotated around the lens, allowing the dominant light source to come from any angle.

High performance
High power output, with a guide number of 14 (m) @ ISO 100, allows the use of small apertures for maximum depth of field when shooting up close. Colour-temperature information is transmitted back to the camera during shooting, helping to optimise auto white balance.

Integrates with other flashes
The Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II can be used as an optical wireless master in a multi-flash lighting set-up, triggering Speedlite flashes set to slave mode. This is useful when using a second flash to illuminate a background, for example.
