Built for speed and quality

A newly designed 20.2 megapixel sensor and Dual DIGIC 6 image processor allows you the freedom to photograph what you like and know that the camera will deliver reliable performance and a quality image. This camera’s Dual DIGIC 6 image processors have been designed with speed in mind. When using a UDMA7 class card, you’ll be able to shoot 10fps continuously without a loss in camera performance (infinitely in JPEG or up to 31 shots in RAW). The 7D MK II is going to be a perfect choice for a wildlife and sports photographer.

Intelligent, fast and accurate auto focus

The 7D MK II has been equipped with advanced iTR focusing technology and a large 65 autofocus points across the frame. Let’s begin with those focus points. So, each of the 65 focus points are 'cross-type' which means they can very quickly and accurately focus on horizontal and vertical detail, making this sensor particular good at tracking fast moving subjects. The iTR AF focusing system that has been added to this camera setup recognises incoming colour and facial information allow it to track subjects as they move around the frame. The sensitivity of this feature can be customised to suit the subject that you are photographers which simply adds to the versatility of this camera.

Low-light conditions? No problem!

Unlike some cameras that struggle in low-light conditions, to the point of compromising your creativity, there’s no issue for the 7D Mark II. This camera can produce excellent image quality at ISO level upwards of ISO 16,000 (expandable to the equivalent of ISO 51,200). This makes this camera not only great for the wildlife and sports photography mentioned previously, but equally as great for street photography and when you find yourself in difficult lighting conditions. It’ll even take an excellent handheld macro photograph with ease.

Stunning Full HD Video Footage

The Canon 7D MK II includes some stunning video capabilities such as being able to shoot Full HD (1080p) at frame rates up to 50 or 60fps. Again, this camera is ideal for fast moving action. But there’s more. It can also capture super smooth slow-motion footage that will allow you to really be creative in your film work. It features an HDMI output allowing for 1920x1080 capture to external recorders to suit different workflows. There’s also a headphone and microphone socket that can capture crystal clear audio that matches up with the stunning visual output.
