Wide Range of Applications
The Bresser Messier AR-120/460 Optical Tube has a wide range of applications and can be used by beginners, advanced amateurs, and visual enthusiasts. It can be used in fields like lunar observation, land object photography, deep sky observation, deep-sky photography, lunar photography, planetary observation, and solar observation. This high-aperture solar-filter telescope is safe to observe sunspots, planet transitions, and eclipses. It can be used to observe the brightest objects outside the solar system and for night observations as well.
Optimised Viewfinder
The optimised straight 6x30 viewfinder ensures easy transport in this small and compact housing. Low-power and wide-field sighting scope with reticle allow easy centring of the objects in the 26mm telescope eyepiece. The ViewFinder Collimation Screws are used to adjust the alignment and a Front Cell can focus the viewfinder. An included bracket prevents any displacement and securely holds the ViewFinder in place.
Adaptable Compatibility
This 2.8kg refractor telescope features a universal 44mm Dovetail plate with stainless steel rails that can be used to mount the LXD75, Great Polaris, EQ5, and other telescope mounts. There is a 50.8mm to 31.7mm adapter with integrated T2 thread and a high-quality Hexafoc Focuser with a 2.5-inch inner diameter that offers a mounting surface for cameras.

FAQs:
How can the solar filter be installed?
To install the Solar Filter, first make sure that the optical tube is turned away from the sun. Now hold the filter only on the external frame and do not touch the foil to prevent any damage. Insert the filter with the clamp ring into the free opening of the telescope. Make sure to turn the tube away from the sun before removing the filter, as the powerful light and heat by the bare lens can damage the lens adhesive.
How can the ViewFinder be aligned?
To widen your field of view, the included 6x30 ViewFinder can be used with the main telescope. It makes it easy to find objects which can then be observed by the eyepiece of the main telescope. Insert the low-power 25mm eyepiece into the eyepiece holder, then find an object through the wide-field ViewFinder and adjust the focus. Unlock the R.A. lock and the Dec lock to rotate the main telescope and centre the object in the telescope’s eyepiece.
How can it be cleaned?
If necessary, only clean the foil with a lint-free and soft cloth, and moisten the cloth with a little water. Clean it very carefully without applying pressure, as the foil is very sensitive. Store your filter in a light-protected environment to avoid premature ageing.
How can the latitude scale be adjusted?
You can set the latitude of your observing location using the two handle screws in a push-pull operation - tightening one screw while loosening the other. There is a T-handle above the Azimuth control knobs that must be pointed North in the northern hemisphere and pointed South in the southern hemisphere during the polar alignment procedure.
