Photokina is the world's biggest photographic and imaging trade show. It is being held in the Cologne Exhibition Centre, the Kölnmesse, from September 21st to the 26th, and a team from Wex Photographic have travelled to Germany to see what new and exciting products are being announced and on display at Photokina.
For the benefit of any of you that are interested in the Photokina happenings, but didn't want to travel to Germany, weren't able to go to Germany, or, like some of us, had to stay behind and work while your colleagues went to Germany, we will be updating you with all the latest goings-on via the WEX blog and Twitter. What's more, in an exciting new venture for WEX, we will be bringing you a visitor's-eye view of some of the stands and products in the form of WEX TV video clips!

The Manfrotto Photo Supports
You could be forgiven for thinking that tripods and photo supports are the one area of photography that wouldn't require constant updating and innovation. Manfrotto, however, would seem to disagree with you. Manfrotto's products can be found everywhere being used by photographers all over the world, and one of the reasons they have gained this position as one of the leading names in photographic supports is by continually updating their range with new features and ideas to make the photographer's life easier.
In this video the Wex Photographic team visit the Manfrotto trade stand at Photokina and talk to Manfrotto's Luca Alessandrini about the brand new, just announced products. These include some new Pocket Supports for compact and SLR cameras, a multi-coloured range of Compact Tripods, plus a new Pro Ball/Fluid Video Head created specially for modern HD video-capable SLR cameras.
