Building on the success of its highly impressive predecessors, the latest addition to the Zeiss Batis range, the 18mm f2.8, is claimed to match the image quality of both the Batis 85 f1.8 and the Batis 25mm f2, despite its extremely wide angle.

The addition of this lens will be of particular interest to landscape/cityscape and architecture photographers, but also people who shoot travel and festival images.

If you’re fortunate to be able to get into London for the Wex London Lens Show on the 30th of April, you’ll be able to be one of the lucky first people to get hands-on with this exciting new lens. But if you’re already convinced we should expect the lens to go on sale in the beginning of May for £1189.
