Colour
The Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio has next-generation HDR grading tools, colour warper for refined grading, and targeted grading specific for Magic Mask. I thas also been updated with advanced colour management, DaVinci's own wide-gamut colour space, brand-new 3D professional scopes, additional LUT support, and new Viewer Wipe modes.
Cut
The ability to quickly and efficiently cut clips in DaVinci has never been easier, with key improvements to include: metadata view and clip sorting, trimming against audio waveforms, Smart Reframe for social media, fast effects search and live preview, import ATEM Mini projects, and an updated clip inspector. DaVinci Resolve provides you with all the tools to work faster; ‘the' software tool for VFX artists, editors, sound recordists and everyone in-between.
Edit
Video editing is still at the forefront of DaVinci Resolve, now with Proxy media workflow, texture pop, detail recover, render in place, keying, and compositing. Personalise your workflow by building your own effects with customisable templates, share timeline and bins, source clip adjustments and easily sync Multicam clips. Other new features include immersive 3D audio, automatic retime of animations, and updated inspector layout. Davinci Resolve Studio is now capable of decoding support for QuickTime PNG, uncompressed RGB 8-bit and YUV 10-bit AVI, and spanned Panasonic 8K SHV clips; improved support for GoPro CineForm, HTJ2K, and MP3 on Linux. Also, the post-production software now has increased video metadata support for the following: frame-based metadata from Blackmagic RAW, ARRI, RED, and Sony camera files. This is alongside decoding and rendering per frame EXR metadata; improved metadata support for Sony MXF, IMF MCA audio, non-HDR DCP export, and HDR tags in DCP workflows.
Fairlight
You can now mix 2000 tracks in real-time, instantly detect and display transients, and support extra-large projects with thousands of additional tracks; this benefits hugely from the ability to achieve fast-editing with a mouse and keyboard. Live video previews and FlexBus architecture, as well as new analysis and metering options round out the high-performance Fairlight audio suite.
Fusion
Fusion lets you create cinematic visual effects and broadcast-quality motion graphics. It features a node-based workflow for fast, efficient effects and amination creation; with hundreds of 2D and 3D tools along with advanced animation curve and keyframe editors that equal organic and realistic animations. It includes everything from point, planar and 3D camera tracking, to rotoscope and keying tool for creating photorealistic composites, stunning animation titles, 3D particle systems and so, so much more.
