Simple and intuitive; this device is incredibly easy to use. Requiring no software to install or configure, this can be used by all levels of users without the need to bring in IT support. You can easily pair it with up to 16 receiver hosts with the click of the transmit button. All that needs to be done is hold down the pairing key on both the host and transmitters for automatic wireless pairing. The host unit can even be put into a pairing mode via web control for cases when it’s installed in hard to reach locations, like a ceiling-mounted projector. Adding to the intuitive nature of the BenQ Instashow, there’s simple presenter-controlled InstaVideo video mode switching. Using this mode, you can switch from clear presentation mode to smooth video mode with stereo sound at the click of a button. This also allows presenters to customise displayed content, blend text, graphs and charts, pictures, and video.

Resolution Matching

The InstaShow is designed to provide the highest resolution for users in the meeting or presentation. using EDID, InstaShow is optimised for intelligent resolution matching, automatically configuring the source laptop's resolution setting and matching the other user’s device, pixel-by-pixel, for exceptional picture quality, whether it is a projector, a laptop or mobile device. Again, this is all achieved quickly and easily without the need to play around with settings or get help from IT support.

The unit features an automatic Wi-Fi channel selector and auto-reconnect function that provide consistency when in session, allowing you to focus on your presentation rather than worrying about unstable, intermittent Wi-Fi issues. It’s fitted with 5 GHz Wi-Fi that offers high performance up to 400 Mb/s, resulting in smooth wireless streaming of Full HD 1080p content without lag, even in high-traffic periods. In addition, the unit has an input latency lag of less than 100 ms. Can I use this on any device?

This unit can be used with a device that has a standard HDMI input. Moreover, if you’re using either a Windows or OS X desktop, you can make use of an extended desktop mode for presenter view. This view allows you to privately take notes or perform other tasks which deliver the main presentation.

Will the unit auto switch off?

There are a couple of functions that help extend the InstaShow's lifespan by auto-switching off. It has an HDMI Standby that cuts the InstaShow's power consumption to near zero after the connected device is turned off. When you turn your display back on, the InstaShow also wakes up automatically without the need for separate remote control. You can also configure the InstaShow to enter network standby when there is no source activity within a user-defined timeout, cutting HDMI transmission and triggering sleep mechanisms on connected display devices.
