Enjoy Upgraded Hardware
Improving on its predecessor, the Shinobi, the Atomos Shinobi II incorporates hardware upgrades for an enhanced monitoring experience. A 50% brighter 1500nits 5-inch, high-resolution HDR touchscreen ensures a clear view whether shooting indoors or in bright sunlight. It's also supremely portable, weighing just 210 grams with a slimmer design. Added holes for locating pins at the bottom ensure secure mounting, making it adaptable to any shooting scenario.
The Shinobi II also features flexible powering options and a battery that lasts all day on a single charge. It can be powered by NP-F style batteries alongside a DC barrel to D-Tap cable or via USB-C PD (10W input). The battery compartment being at the centre improves the monitor’s balance.
Impressive Monitoring Tools with AtomOS 11
Offering the same professional-level monitoring, the Atomos Shinobi II comes with various upgraded tools to improve user experience. You can adjust your camera lens’ aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO and access the Shinobi II’s exposure tools, such as false colour, waveforms, zebras, or the histogram, to achieve your desired shot. The Shinobi II runs on AtomOS 11, with a sleeker, user-friendly, more modern look that makes tools more visible and easily accessible. These tools include Analysis View for essential information or Selfie Mirror Mode for vloggers.
With the Shinobi II, you can monitor a variety of input signals in various resolutions and framerates. For example, you can monitor 4K DCI and 4K UHD at up to 30p and 1080p HD signals at up to 60p. It also offers HDR HLG and HDR PQ monitoring modes and LUT support, allowing you to view your camera’s LOG output in HDR or upload up to 8 LUTs to preview your shots with preset looks. Finally, it has cinema-style or social-media-focused frame guides, so you get a preview of what your creations will look like once shared.
